M. Teresa Monfort is a schoolteacher who in February 2005 decided to go to Honduras to work, as a missionary. She spent three years there, in the capital of San Pedro Sula, and she says that every day there was violence and gunshots there.
She was working in a project for minors for the prevention of violence, prostitution, alcoholism and she gave educational support.
She returned here for a variety of personal reasons.
She doesn’t belong to a religious order but she has a religious vocation and for this reason she worked in an NGO.
Another reason was that her twin brother and his wife had already been to Mozambique doing a missionary work.
In my opinion, I think that this is a good thing to help the poor people and to have a very good experience in your life.
